The influence of adequate nutrition on sports performance.

Whether you play sports indoors, in a team or in the great outdoors, nutrition plays a crucial role in the world of sport. It provides the energy needed to perform during training and competition, as well as to recover from physical exertion. A balanced diet adapted to the needs of each athlete can improve performance, increase resistance to fatigue and reduce the risk of injury. It is also important to drink enough water to maintain hydration and avoid dehydration, which can impair performance.

- A sachet of Salty Water diluted in a litre is for me the perfect dosage for a light carbohydrate and mineral intake to guarantee the best hydration. I am a fan of mint and ginger! I usually consume 0.5l per hour on average.
- The raspberry bar allows me to make mini-meals with the right carbohydrate/protein/fat distribution, with a great taste and easy to chew. I like to make "meals" every 4 hours during my long runs. "

Don't worry about your diet with Holyfat products!

Holyfat products are sugar free and rich in healthy fats, with less than 5% carbohydrates. Our products are made with walnuts, almonds and macadamia, ingredients rich in important nutrients to enhance performance and recovery.

When to take Holyfat products?
⦿ At breakfast: The spread is ideal for fueling up until the next meal.
⦿ During sport: One bar / puree every 1.5 - 2 hours of effort.
⦿ After sport: Ideally you should have a real meal, however if you don't have time you can have a puree or bar while waiting for it.
⦿ Hydration: Dilute 1 sachet in 1L of water (if you are used to consuming a lot of water, take a flask of neutral water in addition).

The difference between a carbohydrate-based and a fat-based diet

The carbohydrate diet:
As glycogen stores are limited, regular carbohydrate replenishment is imperative, which increases the risk of hypoglycaemia over time.

Fat-based diet:
A fat-based diet allows you to run, cycle or generally do sport for a long time without blood sugar fluctuations.
